Young Catholic Leaders, founded in 2008, is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching authentic Church doctrine and understanding of American government to Catholic middle school, high school, and college students. Cultivating new generations of well-formed, active, and devout leaders is a key goal of the organization. As such, beginning in 2010, the group will host its first national Catholic Youth Leadership Congress in Washington, D.C., where dozens of high school students will meet Catholic elected officials, learn about the inner-workings of American government, role-play in a Congress-style setting, hone their public speaking skills, and visit Catholic heritage sites in the nation’s capital. g educator, devout Catholic, and experienced teacher, professor, and writer in the fields of American history and government.
